When we asked Steve why he opened his store in Vancouver, here's what he had to say:
"After a 10 year career in corporate retail at the store management level, I wanted to operate my own store. I has just started homebrewing myself, and was enthused by the hobby. With my work experience in retail, I was sure I could operate a successful shop selling supplies for people to make beer and wine at home. And boy has it been FUN!"

They offer classes for beginning to advanced homebrewers, beginning cheesemaking, and winemaking from kits. In addition to a wide variety of hops, grains (even some organic varieties), yeast strains, wine kits, cheese cultures & rennets, Bader has an extensive selection of parts for draft equipment and CO2 tank exchange. Take note that they are the only place around Portland you can swap out a tank on a Sunday.
